Creative entrepreneurial craft workshops for children. Learning through arts and experience.
Georgina has an eclectic background of arts, business and working with children. She has an MSc in Entrepreneurial Studies and studied Fine Art at University of the Arts London. She has set up art therapy and counselling services for children and young people, worked as a studio manager, set up a craft business Feely Felts and runs a property business with her husband. She loves seeing children's creativity and ideas flourish and creating fun events. In her spare time she is designing a children's book, She also enjoys felting, dancing, dreaming and whizzing around the countryside on her bike. Her last big trip was cycling from London to Paris for UNICEF.
Jen is a problem solver, who thrives on creative challenges. She began working with young people from challenging backgrounds within Social Services in 2001- during this time, she completed an NVQ 3 in Childcare and Support.
Jen now owns a successful Ofsted registered Child Minding Business, in which she has trained and supported staff to build their own thriving enterprises. Jens passion lies in enabling others to grow and become independent, be it the adults she trains or young people she looks after. As a qualified Yoga Instructor and Emergency Response First Aid Trainer, Jen has acquired skills to provide a safe, peaceful environment to encourage and support her clients to be their best selves.
Jen also runs a Before and After School Club with creative, child focused and stimulating activities aimed to empower independence, encourage collaboration, responsibility and learning through play and experience.
Together Jen Pickston and Georgina Tan created Glitterfest, a festival of creative workshops for children in Ealing. They discovered from this and previous fairs that their children found great satisfaction from helping out and selling their own crafts. Parents started asking if they would develop a craft entrepreneurship programme and Kidscreate.Biz was born.
Both Jen and Georgina have passed DBS checks.
